Coal forge starting up in the morning. This forge has a side draft hood which because of the heat and pressure sucks up and out the smoke. The smoke in the beginning is flammable gas and there is a brief moment when there is a interesting balance of the raw coal cooking into coke and the forge lights up. A scene in my day at work.

No better way to start a day. Well, I can think of one or two, but none work related and compatible with being at the shop on time to light the forge. ;)
Anyway, I keep thinking about the different shapes in fire hoods. Americans tend to use a desing like yours, extracting sideways, while in Europe we use more often kitchen-like ones, directly over the fire.

This is just like almost perfect picture about forge! It's always enjoy to see forge lighting up and rising smoke makes it always looks so amazing.
